AFTERCARE

MICROBLADING AFTERCARE

Healing time varies from person to person and it is advisable to follow these aftercare rules for a period of 7 days for proper healing. Your brows will be completely healed in 4 weeks.

• You are to wash your hands and the affected area after 5 hours on the first day to remove any plasma that may be sitting on the surface of the brow.  This will help to prevent scabbing. On days 1-7 continue to wash the area with mild soap and lukewarm water gently and pat dry. Washing will not take away any pigment; it will simply remove any bacteria on the skin.   Apply a thin coat of tattoo goo or brows eyes lips healing ointment given to you by your Microblading Technician twice a day for no more than 3 days. You may apply a light layer Aveeno thereafter.

Make sure to avoid ALL of the following:

•swimming, hot sauna, hot bath or Jacuzzi, (7 days) sun tanning or salon tanning (2 weeks).

• Avoid wearing any makeup on or around the area for at least 7 days.

• Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycol Acid on the face or neck. (4 weeks)

• Picking, peeling or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment.

• Drinking alcohol in excess as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.

• While showering keep your face away from the showerhead. Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post microblading procedure, However, experience has shown that by following these aftercare instructions these symptoms may quickly disappear.

• Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly.

How you take care of your new permanent makeup enhancement will ultimately determine its healing, color retention, final appearance, and longevity.

Also, there are often things you need to do to prepare for your appointments such as no blood thinners or booze 24 hours before the procedure. You’ll also want to stay out of the tanning bed (please stay out of the tanning bed anyway) and avoid retinol in the month leading up to your new brows.

Nano + Combo Brow Pigmentation

After your brow application, your technician will apply an aftercare ointment.  Do not re-apply the ointment until day 3 after your initial application as your brows need to dry heal prior to using the cream.  If your skin tends to be oily, wash your brows 1 hour after your procedure.  Then keep your brows dry for 48 hours.  Wash with plain, unscented soap and apply a rice grain size of Tattoo Goo or Brows, Eyes Lips aftercare ointment to the brows.

Do not overuse the ointment as this may cause irritation and/or cause excessive scabbing.  Brows should be rinsed and cleaned with warm water twice a day before applying the ointment with a clean Q-tip.  After the procedure, the brows will appear darker but will fade during the healing process and will lighten.  A touch up is necessary 4 to 6 weeks after initial treatment in order to achieve full effect.

Luxury Lip Pigmentation

Do not let water directly hit the lip when cleansing or showering.  Gently clean the area with water and unscented soap to avoid irritation.  Use a damp cotton pad to clean the area and then dry with a clean cotton pad.  Use a clean Q-tip to apply your Brows, Eyes Lips ointment to the lips 3-5 times a day for 14 days.  The lips will feel chapped for up to 10 days.  Do not rub, pick or exfoliate your lips.  Avoid foods that may irritate the skin.  Clean your lips after eating and drink through a straw.  Do not apply makeup to the lip area for 7-14 days depending on when the lips are completely healed.  Redness, swelling and minimal bleeding can be expected.  After the procedure, the lips will appear darker or brighter, depending on the lip color selected.  The color will lighten 30-50%.  A touch up is necessary 4-8 weeks after the initial treatment to achieve full effect.

Velvet Eyeliner

Gently clean the area with a clean Q-tip and warm water within 24 hours following your appointment.  Clean the area each time before applying a thin layer of Brows Eyes Lips ointment or vaseline to the eyeliner area 2 to 3 times a day for 7 days.  You may experience light scabbing or flaking.  Do not apply any makeup to the eyelid area until it has healed.  It can take 7-10 days to heal.
